I can remember when I was a child, Christmas day was a magic day, the biggest day of the year (more than my birthday), a fantastic day...
We used to meet with all the family, also we used to have a good lunch and then, we had lots of presents (pencils, jumpers, gloves, etc.), nothing expensive and useful. It was a day to be reconciled, congratulated and there were a lots of smiles and good will.
Unafortunately, times have changed, not only there is the economic crisis, there's also the change of people.
The TV advertise lots of toys, expensive colognes, designer label clothes; we also go stressed for buy presents, to finish the work, etc.
It isn't all, also we have lots of problems to buy all the presents, because we are in crisis, and then we have to enclude this huge expense...
Then, also if we have family problems, instead of solve them, we send a typical Christmas-postcard and we wish them good Christmas and Happy New year...
I think we can still do something to change this and find the happines between this lots of things which only wants our money and our attention...
Reflect about it...
I wish you a merry Christmas!
