But it isn't only about it... It also go against to Neil young, where we can see in 
a verse:

It talks about it because in two songs which where made by Neil Young, Southern Man in 1970 then, Alabama, in 1972, critizising the low conditions of the black people who where working in South America...

I think that's interesting because it shows how the people feel attacked by a foreigner critizing their live style... Which is the most normal thing in the world...


Then, in another verse where we can se how they make support to the ideas from the governor George Wallace, who was involved with the segregationism (Lynyrd Skynyrd denied it all the time, it can be a false verse which deal with irony...)

There are a lot songs which hide another meaning, like Stairway To Heaven, Simpaty for the devil or Lucy in the sky with Diamonds... I think we won't be able to know their meaning but I think that's the grace of this songs, which will be for ever the best songs which we listened...

Shoot-out in Barcelona (28/11/09)

In the last evening, in Barcelona succeeded a shoot-out which were involved a man and his son from gypsy ethnic, who died after a couple of hours...

There, in Sant Boi del Llobregat, arrested a man who was involved with the crime.

Reflection:

It makes me think about the life and the dead, how is so easy to die.

I think the man didn't want to see how his son dies, but also he was armed with guns. It makes me realize how we, the humans, are such stupids that we allow to see die our dear persons.

Also, this news makes me realize the dangers of the life, and how we have to react against this problems.

The Others...

The Others is a film which I really enjoied.

It deal with a family who live in a stately home isolated from the small town.

This family is a bit strange. The children have problems with the light, they can't see the beam of light.

They discover that they have ghosts in their house... and from their servants they discover the reality of this mistery...

Opinion:

I think it's a really good film because it shows a lots of aspects of the reality.

It have a good plot which you are "cheated" because you start in the Family's side and you finish at the Ghosts' side (who are the real persons living at the moment).

They suffer from a big paranoid which they don't want to accept (they are died), I think it makes they be ghosts and which is stopping their to rest in peace...

Also the mother doesn't want to reveal the reality (she killed her children and then she commit suicide with a shotgun), because she is afraid about what she did and she don't want to accept the reality ( we also have problems with thing which we done and we don't want to accept it because they are negative for ourself).

All the film is about the life's aspects and the consequences.

Why I chose these 3 tasks?

I chose these tasks because I think in the final of the 1st Batxillerat year I would be able to compare my progress...
I thought if I upload all the tasks, I would be able to see all of my work and I would be conscious of what I did in this year. Also I think it makes more interesting my blog, and I like it! :P

Meeting Gisela!

A- Hi Gisela! What are you doing here?
G- Hi Aleix! I told you was to study here this year!
A- Oh really!? I didn't remember it...
G- C'mon! I told you about it when we were playing in Versatile's orchestra. Really can't you remember?
A- I can't but It could be possible I was a bit sleepy.
G- Ok, it doesn't matter. Now you know it...
A- jajaja. Why did you decided to study in Castelló?
G- Oh well... Because of my mother...
A- Ok, and... What's your first impression of this highschool?
G- Not bad. It's a very new center.
A- It isn't really interesting to talk about highschool. Isn't it?
     What do you think about the future projects in the orchestra?
G- Oh! I think this year is going to be better than last one, because there's a new big band and playing this type of music is better for our instruments...
A- Yeah! sure, we will spend a great time for this year playing in Versatile's orchestra.
G- I hope so!
A- Ah... Oh! the teacher has just arrived! We'll talk in another occasion...
G- Sit down! Run! Before she sees you...

Once upon a time...

In a time of castles and kings, there was a milk maid who had a big jar of milk. She thought to sell it at the market. When she started walking towards the market leaving her farm house behind her, as it was quite a long away she began to think...

She thought she could sell the milk for a dozen eggs, and when the chicks were born she would exchange them for a pig, and then, when the pig had piglets, she would exchange them for a horse. With this horse, she pretended to be the most beautiful girl in the county using her horse to appear in the nobel society. Then she would marry with a noble guy, and then in the same way, she could get to the top of the nobility and be the wealthiest girl in the county...

Just when she was dreaming with jewels, enormous castles and lots of servants, she tripped with a hedgehog and the big jar of milk felt from her head and it broke to pieces and all the milk spilt.

Then she stood up and thought it was only a dream and she realized that whatever is important and we have to value whatever we do and whatever we have.

Moral of the story: don't dream too and live the present. We have to accept reality!

Comparison of Thirteen and Adrian Mole

Adrian Mole and Tracy have a lot of things in common. They are from low-cultured families with economic problems, and both come from separated parents. Both have aspect quirks and they are very worried about their beauty problems.

In Adrian Mole's case, he has realized about the affair between his mother and his neighbour, and in Tracy's case she realizes about her divorced mother, who have really tired aspect to support the family. For example, her mother cuts neighbours hair, she looks after children...

Adrian and Tracy start in the same point: an innocent kid coming from primary school and discovering the real world. They want to be cool, and for it they'll do anything (drink, wear expensive clothes, steal, etc.) Also they live their first relation-ship. 

In Tracy’s case, she mixes with wrong people and they lead her badly (like taking drugs, drinking, smoking...) If that wasn’t enough, Tracy cuts herself to feel better psychologically because she has an unstable self-esteem.

I think the fault of this change is the environment which involves them, because they fall in a series of bad problems and they can’t get out of them, then they start to realize what the world is really like.

 

I think Adrian couldn’t fall in the same problems of Tracy because she’s a girl and it is usually easier for girls to fall in these problems of popularity, boyfriends and alcohol parties...

I think the phrase “If you’re not that way, you’re nothing” come in the life of Tracy for her first value. I think this phrase is totally stupid because it was said by Evie, who has hard drug’s problems and a serious identity problem, and also I think the real importance is in the main character.

On “Beauty is truth” phrase appears on a posters at the beginning of the film, when Tracy wants to be cool, then she makes friends to neglect her own character... then she falls in a black hole which is really hard to leave. Then, at the end of the film, we can see theses posters crossed out, when she knows the real world which presents a lots of problems which have to be solved by our self. 

Meet Again...

♠ Hi Gemma! How are you? I hope you're OK.

This summer I went to many concerts, and I spent a great time with my friends. We went to the beach, to the water park, to France with an exchange between young people in Elna, and more things I can’t remember now…

I bought a new PC for myself (with my own money), which I’m very proud. I had to work with my parents in their grocery store to be able to afford the computer.

This summer I’ve matured a little more and I focused on my future, so I hope I’ll pass this two years with good marks to be able to choose my future studies…

When my parents had holidays, we decided to visit Andorra, but we couldn’t arrive there because we didn’t have enough time… we were an hour from Andorra and we visited the surrounding villages. Two days later we went to Sant Martí del Canigó and we climbed the mountain on foot. It was so tiring, but It was worth the experience!

At the end of the summer, arrived the medieval festival Terra de Trobadors, where I took a great photo added in this message, I hope you like it…

What I think about my Oral Presentation?¿

Ok, In the first viewpoint, I think it's OK to use a PowerPoint and a lot of transitions, but I could think a bit more and bring the keybord near the screen... I've got my back on you all the time...

The time it's Ok, it's in the middle way between 5 and 7 minutes...

I think it's ok to move and don't be quiet all the time... but also I think it's really strange to move the head right and left all the time... I'll resolve my head's problem for the next Presentation!

Yes, I read some times, but It's not a thing which I abused a lot...

I made a change in the intonation in the  2:11 min. to awaken the public attention, then, the people took interest in what I was saying...

I laughed a bit because I was really nervous, but I think it's only a practice affair...

I organized the structure a bit strange but then I resolved why I was speaking about this things...

I think the content isn't really overcomplicated because it's a topic which somebody knows it, but also it's interesting for the audience, and to explain why I 'm interested in this world of the Informatics...

The language is not really difficult, so all could understand me, but I introduced interesting words for example "cheat", "engage", "like a chain"... which gave me security in what I was saying...

I think the pronunciation could be better, sure of that! But it wasn't wrong and I think it's normally in my english level.

I think it could be a 6.5 over 10. It's not bad but it could be better...

First Oral Presentation!

And there's my first oral presentation:

Good Morning to all! I’m Aleix Serra and I’m another student from 1st Batxillerat who will do another oral presentation for the teacher, but Different from the others, I hope it’ll serve you to know new interesting information and it won’t bore you…

Ok, I’ll speak about Informatics Technologies.

-How many of you think you are NOT dependent from Informatic Technologies?

Ok, you’ll see in the content of my explanation if you’re right or wrong, and You’ll see why.

Informatic Technologies are not only messenger, youtube or other things to be in fornt of your computer. Also them are your feed, your shopping… in general all of your life. If you pay attention, you can think we are involved with new technologies which the most are related with Informatics.

For example, when you want to buy you “Fashion clothes” you are in a clothing store where you have to pay using the barcodes. This barcode is programmed by informatics programmers and also the machine which reads it.

Another example is when you want to reserve a flight to go to you “fantastic holidays” (which none of us could’nt go this year because we are in crisis, jojo). Ok, you open you computer and you go to the flight company page.

HEY!WATCH IT! WE FOUND A FLY REALLY CHEAP!  Ooooh, it was without TAXES and luggage…

And it’s not all, there’s another FUNNY THING… If you want to have Luggage insurance you have to pay 30 euros more…  Only Tricks for the company to have more clients…

That’s an example of the stages of the pages. You see an incredible thing, you want it, but gradually you can realize it’s not what you saw in the first term.

 In the case of the flight company, you’re a bit cheated about the price, but the programmers have more forms to be in the middle of our lives.

All of the internet pages are programmed and ALL are studied for their own advantage BY PROGRAMMERS, STRANGE characters who have learned the code binary…

 Yeah! That’s youtub! when we are watching really relaxed a video in Youtub, listening our favorite music, and then we can’t realize the sky is going dark…  Then we remembered we had lots of homework and we spent all the afternoon looking videos in this lovely page…

I’ll explain why we don’t leave this page if we knew we had homework.  When we are looking a video we have a box where we can find related videos, and this is the way which give us more videos and more videos, which sure interests us, then we are tempted to see more and more…

There are a lot of ways to engage us… AND That’s only one!

Another face of the Informatics Technologies is the formal face. It contains the corporate work in companies, the network controllers; computer repairman… but the part of Informatics Technologies which really interests me is  the 3 Dimensional works. I like it because when I was a kid I was fascinated with videogames  and I dreamed to be a game creator.

 Also, the last year I discovered a lot of interesting things which are related with commercials or 3D animation using the latest technologies. We made some 3d animations with a program named Blender which we could introduce to this world…

 That’s a part of the new technologies which really likes me… I chose this topic because I want to choose Informatics College for my future studies… Then in this oral presentation I spoke about funny examples which involve us related with my future studies…
